Welcome to CYP Vasai (www.cypvasai.org). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of
the CYP Vasai website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services") provided by
Christian Youth in Power ("CYP," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with
any part of these Terms, you may not use our Services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms
and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding
agreement between you and CYP Vasai.
1.1 Agreement to Terms
- Your use of the Services constitutes acceptance of these Terms
- If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that
organization to these Terms
- We may modify these Terms at any time (see Section 14)
1.2 Additional Policies
In addition to these Terms, your use of specific features or services may be subject to additional policies,
rules, or guidelines, which will be made available to you in connection with those features or services.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Age Requirements
- General Use: You must be at least 13 years old to use our Services
- Minors (Under 18): If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal
guardian to use our Services
- Purchases: You must be at least 18 years old to make purchases or donations, or have
parental consent
2.2 Parental Consent
For users under 18, we may require parental consent for certain activities, including event registration,
ticket purchases, and participation in programs. Parents or guardians are responsible for monitoring their
minor children's use of our Services.
2.3 Accuracy of Information
You represent and warrant that all information you provide to us is accurate, current, and complete. You
agree to update your information as necessary to maintain its accuracy.
3. User Accounts and Registration
3.1 Account Creation
- To access certain features, you may need to create an account
- You may register using your email address or through third-party authentication (Google)
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
3.2 Account Security
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized access or security breach
- We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized account use
- Do not share your login credentials with others
3.3 One Account Per Person
You may only create and maintain one account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent
restrictions or obtain unfair advantages is prohibited.
4. Our Services
CYP Vasai provides the following services through our platform:
4.1 Core Services
- Event Management: Registration, ticketing, and check-in for CYP events, concerts, and
activities
- Membership Services: Youth ministry membership registration and management
- Digital Content: CYP Talks video streaming, sermon archives, and media galleries
- Spiritual Programs: Lent progress tracking, devotionals, and spiritual growth tools
- Community Features: Forms, surveys, feedback systems, and communication tools
- E-commerce: Fundraiser store, ticket sales, and donation processing
- Photo Galleries: Integration with Google Photos for community photo sharing
4.2 Service Availability
- We strive to provide continuous, uninterrupted service but do not guarantee 100% uptime
- Services may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time
- Certain features may be available only to registered users or event participants
4.3 Progressive Web App (PWA)
Our offline-first PWA scanner is designed for event staff to scan tickets. Offline functionality is provided
on a best-effort basis and may have limitations.
5. User Conduct and Responsibilities
5.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use our Services in a manner consistent with Christian values and community standards. You must:
- Treat other users with respect and kindness
- Provide accurate information in all forms and registrations
- Respect the intellectual property rights of others
- Use the Services only for their intended purposes
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
5.2 Community Standards
As a Christian youth ministry, we expect all users to uphold standards of conduct that reflect our faith and
values. Content and behavior that is offensive, harmful, or contrary to Christian principles is not
permitted.
Code of Conduct
All participants in CYP events and services are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that honors
God and respects others. Inappropriate behavior may result in removal from events and suspension from
our Services.
6. Ticket Purchases and Events
6.1 Ticket Sales
- Availability: Tickets are subject to availability and may sell out
- Pricing: Ticket prices are displayed at the time of purchase and may vary by tier or
category
- Delivery: E-tickets with QR codes will be sent to your email address
- Validity: Tickets are valid only for the specified event, date, and time
- Non-transferable: Tickets may not be resold, transferred, or used for commercial
purposes without our permission
6.2 Soft-Lock System
Our ticket system uses a temporary reservation ("soft-lock") mechanism to hold tickets during the checkout
process. Soft-locks expire after a limited time if payment is not completed.
6.3 Multi-Tier Orders
You may purchase tickets from multiple tiers in a single transaction. All tickets in an order will be
delivered together in one email.
6.4 QR Code Verification
- Each ticket contains a unique, digitally-signed QR code
- QR codes can only be scanned once for entry
- Screenshots or photocopies of QR codes are subject to verification
- Sharing or duplicating tickets may result in denial of entry
6.5 Event Entry and Conduct
- You must present a valid ticket (digital or printed) for event entry
- We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone who violates event policies
- You must comply with venue rules and staff instructions
- Recording or photography may be restricted at certain events
6.6 Event Changes and Cancellations
- We reserve the right to modify event details, including date, time, venue, or lineup
- In case of event cancellation, refunds will be processed according to our refund policy (see Section 7)
- We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other costs related to event attendance
7. Payments and Refunds
7.1 Payment Processing
- Payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors
- We do not store your credit card information on our servers
- All prices are in INR (Indian Rupees) unless otherwise stated
- You are responsible for any transaction fees charged by your bank or payment provider
7.2 Pricing and Taxes
- All prices include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated
- We reserve the right to change prices at any time
- The price charged is the price displayed at the time of purchase
7.3 Refund Policy
Important Refund Information
Ticket Sales: All ticket sales are generally final. Refunds are issued only in the
following circumstances:
- Event Cancellation: Full refund if the event is cancelled by CYP
- Event Postponement: Option for refund or ticket transfer to the new date
- Technical Errors: Refund if you were charged incorrectly due to system error
- Duplicate Purchases: Refund for duplicate transactions
No refunds for: Change of plans, inability to attend, or dissatisfaction with the event.
7.4 Refund Process
- Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the event cancellation or issue
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- Processing time: 7-14 business days
- Contact us at the email provided in Section 16 to request a refund
7.5 Donations
Donations to CYP are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us
immediately.
8. User Content and Intellectual Property
8.1 Your Content
You may upload, submit, or share content through our Services, including photos, videos, comments, and form
responses ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content.
8.2 License to CYP
By submitting User Content, you grant CYP a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce,
modify, publish, and distribute your content for the purposes of:
- Operating and improving our Services
- Promoting CYP events and ministries
- Creating community galleries and media archives
- Sharing on CYP social media and communications
8.3 Content Restrictions
You may not upload or share content that:
- Violates any law or regulation
- Infringes on intellectual property or privacy rights
- Contains offensive, hateful, or inappropriate material
- Is false, misleading, or defamatory
- Contains viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Is contrary to Christian values or CYP's mission
8.4 CYP's Intellectual Property
- All content on our website, including logos, text, graphics, videos, and software, is owned by CYP or
licensed to us
- You may not use our intellectual property without written permission
- The "CYP" name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Christian Youth in Power
- Unauthorized use of our trademarks is prohibited
8.5 Photography and Media
By attending CYP events, you acknowledge that you may be photographed or recorded. You grant CYP permission
to use such photos and videos for promotional and archival purposes.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed
by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by
reference.
9.1 Data Collection
We collect personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, including:
- Registration and account information
- Ticket purchase and event registration details
- Form responses and survey data
- Usage data and analytics
9.2 Your Consent
By using our Services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy
Policy.
9.3 Third-Party Services
We use third-party services (Supabase, Firebase, AWS, etc.) as described in our Privacy Policy. These
services have their own privacy policies and terms.
10. Prohibited Activities
You may not engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
10.1 System Abuse
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems or user accounts
- Using automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or interact with our Services
- Overloading or interfering with the operation of our Services
- Bypassing security measures or rate limits
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling our software
10.2 Fraudulent Activity
- Making fraudulent purchases or chargebacks
- Creating fake accounts or impersonating others
- Counterfeiting or duplicating tickets
- Reselling tickets for profit without authorization
- Manipulating the ticket soft-lock system
10.3 Harmful Behavior
- Harassing, bullying, or threatening other users
- Posting offensive or inappropriate content
- Spreading misinformation or spam
- Violating the privacy or rights of others
10.4 Commercial Use
- Using our Services for unauthorized commercial purposes
- Advertising or soliciting without permission
- Collecting user information for marketing purposes
11. Termination and Suspension
11.1 Termination by You
You may stop using our Services at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting us.
11.2 Termination by CYP
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our Services at any time, with or
without notice, for any reason, including:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or abusive behavior
- Non-payment or chargebacks
- Risk to security or integrity of our Services
- Legal or regulatory requirements
11.3 Effects of Termination
- Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately
- We may delete your account and data in accordance with our retention policies
- Termination does not affect rights and obligations that arose before termination
- Valid tickets for future events may remain valid at our discretion
11.4 Survival
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including payment obligations,
intellectual property licenses, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive termination.
12. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Important Legal Information
Please read this section carefully. It limits our liability and contains important disclaimers.
12.1 "As Is" Disclaimer
OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties of non-infringement
- Warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Services
- Warranties that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
12.2 No Guarantee of Results
- We do not guarantee that you will achieve any specific spiritual, personal, or other results from using
our Services
- The Lent progress tracking and other spiritual tools are for personal growth and are not professional
counseling services
- We are not responsible for the content of third-party integrations (Google Photos, etc.)
12.3 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CYP VASAI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
- Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or use of our servers or personal information
- Damages resulting from any conduct or content of third parties
- Damages resulting from events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
- The amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, OR
- ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian Rupees)
12.4 Third-Party Services
- We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, or content
- Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience only
- We do not endorse or assume responsibility for third-party offerings
12.5 Technical Issues
- We are not liable for technical issues, including but not limited to server downtime, data loss, or
connectivity problems
- We recommend keeping separate records of important information
- Offline PWA functionality is provided on a best-effort basis
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CYP Vasai, its officers, directors, volunteers, employees,
agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses
(including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your use or misuse of the Services
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party, including intellectual property rights
- Your User Content or conduct
- Any fraud or dishonest acts by you
We reserve the right to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification, at
your expense.
14. Changes to Terms
14.1 Right to Modify
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms
- Notify you via email or prominent notice on our website
- Provide a reasonable opportunity to review the changes
14.2 Acceptance of Changes
- Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified
Terms
- If you do not agree with the modified Terms, you must stop using the Services
- For material changes, we may require explicit acceptance
14.3 Previous Versions
We will maintain archived versions of these Terms. You may request previous versions by contacting us.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
15.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to
conflict of law principles.
15.2 Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be subject to the exclusive
jurisdiction of the courts located in Vasai, Maharashtra, India.
15.3 Informal Resolution
Before pursuing formal legal action, you agree to first contact us to attempt to resolve the dispute
informally. Please send a detailed description of the dispute to the contact information in Section 16.
15.4 Time Limitation
Any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services must be filed within
one (1) year after the claim arose, or it will be permanently barred.
15.5 Class Action Waiver
To the extent permitted by law, all disputes must be brought on an individual basis and not as part of a
class action, consolidated action, or representative action.
15.6 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall
remain in full force and effect.
16. Miscellaneous
16.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional policies, constitute the entire agreement
between you and CYP Vasai regarding the Services.
16.2 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or
provision.
16.3 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights and obligations without our prior written consent.
We may assign these Terms without restriction.
16.4 Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable
control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemic, government action, or technical failures.
16.5 Headings
Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms.
16.6 Language
These Terms are provided in English. In case of any translation, the English version shall prevail.
